Sony offers in the UK the VAIO AW series laptop PC that comes with a 18.4-inch large HD display. Currently, two models are avialable, the VAIO AW11XU/Q and the VAIO AW11Z/B.

Sony’s VAIO AW11XU/Q is the more advanced model between two. It is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 2.8GHz processor, 4GB of RAM, 628GB SATA hard drive, 128GB SSD (yes, you get both of them), and 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600M graphic card. The VAIO AW11XU/Q comes equipped with a hybird TV Tuner.

The VAIO AW11Z/B, on the other hands, is a relatively more affordable model with an Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 2.53GHz processor, 4GB of RAM, 640GB hard drive and 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600M video card.

Sony introduces the new VAIO TT series laptop PC that is the world’s lightest Blu-ray notebook. The VAIO TT is housed in a lightweight carbon-fiber chassis and features a 11.1-inch XBRITE-DuraView LCD display.

Based on Intel’s Centrino 2 technology, the VAIO TT comes with integrated Blu-ray disc drive and dual channel 256GB (128GB X 2) SSD with RAID set-up. TT integrates also the WWAN module for connecting Sprint Mobile Broadband Network (EV-DO Rev. A).

The VAIO TT series offers HDMI output connector and LED backlit LCD. The TT series starts at $2000. The Blu-ray version will cost $2700 while the SSD version for $2,750.
