Optoma launches the ML500, an ultra-portable business projector based on DLP technology for the professional. Like its brother ML300, the ML500 has built-in media player and utilizes Single 0.45″ WXGA DMD Chip DLP Technology to deliver 1280×800 resolution. The ML500 offers a higher brightness with 500 ANSI lumens with LED light source with 20,000 hours of life.

Optoma is launching the ML300 ultra portable LED projector designed for business users who need a powerful projector on-the-go. Based on Single 0.45″ WXGA DMD Chip DLP Technology, the ML300 features 1280×800 WXGA resolution. It uses lamp-free LED technology (with 20,000 hours of life) to deliver 300 ANSI lumens brightness and 3000:1 contrast ratio.

LG releases in the US the HX350T portable projector with built-in ATSC digital TV tuner. The unit features 1024×768 XGA native resolution and is able to deliver up to 100-inch image size. Using “Super Long Lasting” LED lamp as light source, the projector offers a wider color range and deeper color saturation to reduce motion blur and color break up, featuring 300:1 ANSI lumens brightness, 2000:1 cotrast ratio. The lamp has up to 30,000 hours of life.

3M launches a new mobile projector, the MP225 intended for use with iOS devices, including iPhone, iPod and iPad. The projector comes with the 3M Video Cable with dock connector that is designed for connecting iOS devices, bring media content from portable device to a bigger screen. It works with other video sources, such as notebook, DVD player, using additional 3M VGA cable.

NEC announced its new NP-L50W lightweight LED digital projector designed for traveling business users. The new projector is equipped with LED solid state light source offering 500 lumens brightness, up to 20,000 hours of life, and a mercury-free design. Based on 0.45-inch DLP technology, the L50W features 1140×912 WXGA native resolution, 2500:1 contrast ratio.

LG unveiled at the CES 2011 the HW300T and the HX350T portable LED projecors with built-in ATSC tuner. With the ATSC tuner, the these projectors allows users to watch free HD broadcast signals. The HW300T also include DLNA support and Ethernet LAN port for access to online content.

Optoma releases the PlayTime PT100 LED gaming projector designed to deliver a big image at a low price. The PT100 offers simple operation and enough power to deliver images up to 100-inch in size, while it is priced at $199.

Acer launches its new C20 pico projector that is about the size of a smartphone and fits in your pocket. The projector comes in Candy Pink, Metallic Blue and Silver colors. It is based on DLP technology and uses RGB LED lamp technology offering WVGA resolution in native 16:9 format, 2000:1 contrast ratio and up to 20,000 hours of lamp life. It can projector images from 5-inch to 66-inch.

Toshiba Lumileo P100 on hand

Toshiba brings two new LED pico projectors, the Lumileo P100 and Lumileo M200, to the IFA 2010 in Berlin. The P100 and M200 both feature VGA 640×480 resolution, 14 lumens brightness, RGB LED light source of up to 20,000 hours of life time, built-in 0.5w speaker. They can produce an image size of 8-inch to 60-inch and offers VGA and TV-in connectors. Both models have a fouce adjust wheel and a five-way key pad that helps to navigate the menu.

Favi Entertainment releases the new B1-LED-PICO pico LED projector, which shares the same OEM source as the BeamBox Evolution R-2. The B1 features a 800×600 resolution and is able to produce 80-inch images. It has 1GB internal storage and supports microSD/SDHC up to 16GB.
