China’s Great Solar-powered LED Wall

China gets a great solar powered LED display, which is called GreenPix – Zero Energy Media Wall. The great LED wall is powered by thousands solar photovoltaic capture cells.
GreenPix is a groundbreaking project applying sustainable and digital media technology to the curtain wall of Xicui entertainment complex in Beijing, near the site of the 2008 Olympic Games. Featuring the largest color LED display worldwide and the first photovoltaic system integrated into a glass curtain wall in China, the building performs as a self-sufficient organic system, harvesting solar energy by day and using it to illuminate the screen after dark, mirroring a day’s climatic cycle

LG.Philips 47-inch LED Backlight LCD

LG.Phiips show their 47-inch LED Backlight LCD screen with 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio(Mega CR). The 47-inch LCD has 1.07 billion colors, 10000k color temperature, 500cdm2 brightness, 8ms response time and 178-degree viewing angle.

LED-based Pong / roulette tables

Moritz Waldemeyer has designed a LED-based Pong / roulette tables. It utilize a fancy Corian-based table by incorporating a series of “LEDs and touchpad sensors” into it.
Pushing the technology a bit further, he also crafted a LED-based roulette table, which sports an electroluminescent map and an overhead lamp that work in conjunction to provide the rolling ball action casino dwellers know and love.

LED powered keyboard

Sauvage, a Japanese company, presents the CK-104LW-PSU USB keyboard. The keyboard has a small switch to turn the small LED lights on the keys on and off. It is available in black and white. One more image after the jump.
