Leica has just announced the “very special limited edition” Leica M7 Edition “Hermes” 35mm rangefiner system camera. The Hermers M7 comes in silver chrome with a choice of two calfskin leather finishes – orange and “etoupe”.

Alongside the M9, Leica presents the X1 compact digital camera. The design of the X1 is strongly reminiscent of the legendary Leica’s M-series rangefinders. The camera features a large 12.2 Megapixel APS-C format CMOS image sensor and an all-purpose LEICA ELMARIT 1:2.8/24 mm auto focus lens.

Leica announced the new M9, the world’s first digital rangefinder camera with a full-frame 24 x 36mm sensor. It is also the world’s smallest Full-Frme system camera.
