Following the first PRADA phone and PRADA II, LG and PRADA extend their partnership, introducing the PRADA Phone by LG 3.0. Styled with PRADA’s clean and sharp design philosophy, the handset features a full glossy touchscreen to the front and PRADA’s signature Saffiano pattern to the back, all finished in classic black. It is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and runs Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread OS with a PRADA UI, with a future scheduled upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The smooth, glassy surface was far more reactive to our touch inputs than we might have thought, although if this is what the iPhone experience is going to be like, we might still shy away from the QWERTY input — too messy. I gotta admit, the UI looks pretty snazzy and easy to use, though I wish it were a tad bit faster. The phone is coming out this spring in Europe for about $500. Sadly, there’s no word on a U.S. release, though we can always hope
