Verizon Wireless launched the LG Englighten mid-range, affordable Android smartphone. The new phone comes with a 3.2-inch 320×480 touchscreen, a sliding full QWERTY keyboard with large keys for easy typing, and a 3.2 Megapixel with auto focus and video recording. The Enlighten is powered by a 800MHz processor and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS with support for Adobe Flash 10.

While Verizon Wireless gets the Fathom, AT&T is launching another LG device, called Vu Plus that supports AT&T’s FLO-based Mobile TV service, just like LG’s Vu CU920.The Vu Plus comes with a 3-inch touchscreen, a 4-line QWERTY keyboard and a 3 Megapixel autofocus camera/camcorder. It supports the 7.2Mbps HSDPA network.
