Motorola A810 Linux-based Phone

We’ve heard about the poor performance of Motorola’s cellphone division, but let’s look at this A810 Linux-based touchscreen phone. There is no much information about this cellphone but we can expect it to have a 2.4-inch LCD touch screen and a 2 Megapixel camera.

If we look at the other Linux phone from Motorola such as A1600 Ming2, they all feature an integrated media player, web browser, and document viewer. We can expect to see all these on this A810.

Trolltech Qtopia Greenphone Linux Phone

This is the Trolltech Qtopia Greenphone, a Linux-based  quad band GSM/EDGE mobile phone. THe Qtopia Greenphone is powered by an Intel XScale 317MHz processor, 128MB ROM, 64MB RAM and it has a QVGA LCD touch screen, a 1.3 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and a miniSD card slot.

The phone runs on the Qtopia Phone Edition 4.1.7 OS which is based on the Linux kernel 2.4.19.

The new Motorola MOTOMING now comes with EDGE support. The MOTOMING with EDGE runs on Linux OS with Intel Xscale PXA270 and it features a 2.4″ 260k colours screen, 2 Megapixel Camera which can also perform business cards scan function Motorola MOTOMING supports Video Capture/Playback/Streaming in MPEG4 and H.263 formats and it has built-in FM tuner, Bluetooth, a microSD slot supporting up to 2GB of microSD cards.

This is the latest Linux phone from Motorola, the A910. The Motorola A910 has a 1.3 Megapixel camera with LED flash and support for video capture. The phone runs Linux-based platform and comes with speaker independent voice recognition. The phone features the “UMA technology allowing seamless access to GSM and GPRS features over WLAN (802.11b/g)”.

The Motorola A910 has Bluetooth and a Transflash (microSD) card slot.
