Panasonic officially announced the latest addition to the Lumix G-series, the Lumix DMC-GF1 compact digital SLR camera that has been leaked before. The camera is claimed to be the world’s smallest and lightest system digital camera with a built-in flash.

It looks like Panasonic is preparing its Lumix DMC-GF1 compact Micro Four Thirds digital SLR. The Lumix GF1 will be competing the Olympus’ E-P1 as both them are based on the Micro Four Thirds system and probably use the same image sensor module.

In addition to the FZ35 and the FP8, Panasonic introduces also the Lumix DMC-ZR1 ultra slim digital camera that uses the world’s first 0.3mm thin aspherical lens. The thin LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens offers 8x optical zoom and 25mm wide angle.

Panasonic brings a new model to its FP-series that offers stylish design. Dubbed as the Lumix DMC-FP8 the compact camera has a 12.1 Megapixel image sensor and a 4.6x Leica DC lens with 28mm wide angle. The FP8 has a futuristic-looking stylish body.

Panasonic announced the Lumix DMC-FZ35 digital camera that offers 18X zoom, which is the successor of the FZ28. The 12.1 Megapixel FZ35 gets a 18x optical zoom LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT lens with 27mm wide angle.

Panasonic introduces three new digital cameras, the Lumix DMC-FS12, DMC-FS42 and DMC-FS62. All models offers 4x otpical zoom and 4x digital zoom.

After the FS7 and FS15, Panasonic adds the DMC-FS25 to its Lumix FS-series. The Lumix DMC-FS25 features a 12.1 Megapixel sensor, a 29mm wide-angle LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens and 5x optical zoom.

Panasonic presents the Lumix DMC-TS1, the world’s first waterproof, shockproof and dustproof digital camera. Like the ZS3, the Lumix TS1 has AVCHD Lite 720p High Definition (HD) video recording capabilities. It is a 12.1 Megapixel camera with a 28mm wide-angle LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR 4.6x optical zoom lens and a 2.7-inch LCD display.

Other than the ZS3 and ZS1, Panasonic announced the new Lumix DMC-FX580 (aka DMC-FX550) digital camera with touchscreen, which is the successor of the Lumix DMC-FX500. The Lumix DMC-FX580 is a 12.1 Megapixel camera with a  25mm ultra-wide-angle LEICA DC lens with F2.8 brightness and a 5x optical zoom.

Panasonic announced the new Lumix ZS-series digital camera, including the DMC-ZS3 (aka DMC-TZ7 in Europe) and DMC-ZS1 (aka DMC-TZ6) . These compact cameras feature a 10.1 Megapixel sensor, a LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens with 25mm ultra-wide angle and 12x powerful optical zoom.

The Lumix DMC-ZS3 is world’s first digital camera to have AVCHD Lite 720p HD video recording ability. It comes with Panasonic’s Intelligent Auto (iA) mode with Face Detection and 26 scene modes.
