Nokia announced at the MWC 2012 the Nokia 808 PureView smartphone equipped with an ultra high resolution image sensor. As the first phone to feature PureView Pro technology, the 808 packs a 41 Megapixel image sensor, Carl Zeiss F2.4 optics and the PureView oversampling technology that distil 7 pixels into 1 for stunningly sharp and clear 5 Megapixel photos. For the best image performance, the phone also comes with auto focus and touch focus, Xenon flash with up to 3.5 meter opearing range, face detection, scene modes. It is able to capture Full HD 1080p video at 30fps and there is integrated video editor.

Huawei Ascend Y100

Huawei brings the budget-friendly entry-level Ascend Y Series Android smartphones to its Ascend line. The Ascend Y100 gets a 2.8-inch touchscreen while the Ascend Y200 features a bigger 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen. They both pack 3.2 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth, GPS/AGPS and WiFi connectivity.

Other than those high-end models such as Ascend D series (D for Diamond) and Ascend P series (P for Platinum), Huawei will also launch the mid-range Ascend G300 (G stands for Gold). Boasting a 1GHz single-core processor, the phone will be loaded with Android 2.3 with future upgrade to Android 4.0. It has a 4-inch WVGA touchscreen and a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera.

The quad-core Ascend D quad and Ascend D quad XL are not the only members of the Ascend D line, Huawei is also launching the Ascend D lte, a 4G smartphone. The handset supports LTE 1800/2600/800/2300 4G networks as well as quad-band GSM/EDGE and dual-band 900/2100 HSPA. Unlike its brother, the LTE model doesn’t get a quad-core CPU, but a 1.5Ghz dual-core processor. There is 1GB RAM.

In addition to the Eluga, Panasonic also announced at the Eluga Power smartphone for the European market. As its name tells, the Eluga Power will be more powerful than its little brother. Boosted by Qualcomm’s SnapDragon S4 dual-core 1.5GHz processor, the handset runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It features a slim form factor measuring just 9.6mm thick and is a lightweight big-screen device at just 133g.

Along with the powerful quad-core PF100 and T98 tablets, ZTE also introduced four dual-core Android tablets – V96, V9S, V68 and V66. Both V68 and V66 support 4G LTE and CDMA mobile networks, while the V96 supports quad-band GSM/EDGE, quad-band UMTS/HSPA+ 42Mbps and 4G LTE networks, and the V9S supports only quad-band GSM/EDGE and dual-band UMTS/HSPA 14Mbps.

ZTE PF100

Other than smartphones, ZTE also brings tablets to the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012. Two quad-core tablets have been introduced, the PF100 and the T98, both powered by Tegra 3 1.5GHz quad-core processor featuring the fifth battery save core, 1GB of RAM and 16GB onboard memory. They will be shipped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

ZTE Skate Acqua

At the MWC 2012, ZTE introduces four new smartphones that are heading to the Europe market, including the Skate Acqua, Kis, Blade II and the previously announced Mimosa X. All these phones use Android 4.0 Ice Cream operating system and will come with ZTE’s Mifavor custom user interface. All these smartphones support Bluetooth and WiFi and offers Dolby sound and HD Voice.

Other than smartphones, Huawei also revealed at the MWC 2012 the MediaPad 10 FHD, the world’s first 10-inch quad-core tablet. The new tablet is boosted by a Huawei K3 1.5GHz quad-core processor with embedded GPU, offering fast processing power, 3D graphics and the capability to drive its 10-inch 1920×1080 Full HD IPS LCD touchscreen.

ZTE introduces at the MWC 2012 in Barcelona a quad-core smartphone, the Era with a ultra slim form factor. At just 7.8mm thick, the Era packs NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 quad-core mobile processor, which features the unique 4-PLUS-1 quad-core architecture with a fifth battery saver core to better battery life. The quad-core device will be shipped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
