nano channel – Tiny PMP from TakaraTomy

TakaraTomy appears to be on the verge of seriously entering the Media devices market. This summer will see the release of a 28g audio-video player that is only 8mm thick (38 x 58mm wide and tall). The tiny device will be available in capacities up to 1Gb (for around Â¥17,000) and it supports MPEG-1/2ã€ÂÂQuickTimeã€ÂÂASFã€ÂÂWMV, MP3 and WMA playback. However, the screen is a just-viable 1.2in TFT and the company is claiming 6hrs audio playback per charge.
