Here is a video of Nissan’s 370Z, that is shoot on highway 60, leading through Phoenix, Arizona. The VQ37HR-powered coupe is powered by the same 3.7-liter V6 engine that can deliver over 330 hp, with torque cresting the 270 lb.-ft.

The 3.7 liter DOHC 24-valve V-6 powerplant produces 330 HP and 270 lb-ft of torque(24 hp and 2 lb-ft improvements over the current 3.5 liter G35 engine) with a 7,500rpm redline. Early dynamometer readings conducted during a magazine test indicate that the G37 manual transmission produces 287 hp and 236 ft-lbs. of torque at the rear wheels (compared to 236 hp and 218 ft-lbs. of torque in the previous six-speed coupe model).[5] The engine uses an 86-mm stroke (up from 81.4 mm on the previous model) and a compression ratio of 11.0:1 (up from 10.6 on the previous model).

The R34 Skyline GTR and GTR V-spec models were released in January 1999. The R34 GTR was also made to be shorter (from front to rear), and the front wheels were made closer to the front. The RB26DETT used in the R34 GTR had changes made to the valvetrain system, with larger valves, and different cam profiles. The valve covers were also painted glossy red, rather than dull black.

The new Nissan Skyline GT-R is coming in 2008 and it is expected to be better than the Porsche 911 around a track. Here is a video from WorldCarFans showing the GT-R running in the Nurburgring. Watch the video after the jump.

At the LA AutoShow, Nissan shows the 2008 Altima Coupe. It will be powered by either a 170-hp, 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine or the yummy 3.5-liter VQ V6 rated at 270 horsepower and 258 ft-lbs. Both available with either an Xtronic CVT or 6-speed manual. There are no info about pricing and it will be available in showrooms next summer.
