Nokia N800

ThoughtFix shows us a video demo on the Nokia N800 Video-calling feature. Video after the jump.
Patrick Rhone responded to my last post and volunteered to be interviewed over video from one N800 to another. He runs his own blog on webapps and his own interests. He had some difficulty with his N800 not properly “flipping” the image when his camera rotates… it worked, then didn’t, then worked again.

Nokia N800 Disassembled (Video)

Nokia N800 Disassembled

ThoughtFix has disassembled the Nokia N800. The N800 is an Internet Tablet powered by a 320 MHz CPU, 128 MB of RAM and it has a 4.1-inch LCD screen with 800×400 resolution and 256MB of flash memory.

More picsture and a video after the jump.
There is really nothing to see inside - it’s well engineered and comes apart relatively easy, but there is no undocumented hardware like the Nokia 770’s microphone when it was released. All the chips are covered by soldered-on RF shielding so they cannot be read. The back of the PCB is all “antenna space” so even the circuit traces cannot be followed.

Nokia N800 Internet Tablet Unboxed

The Nokia N800 is the successor of the Nokia N770 Internet Tablet we have seen long time ago. The Nokia N800 was unboxed by RingNokia, and here are some picturs.

There are not much information about the Nokia N800 internet tablet. But as we can see in the box, the N800 is probably running Linux OS and it will feature Google Talk and Bluetooth support.

See more picturs after the jump.
