It is rumored that Nokia is launching next month its Erdos luxury, shiny slider phone. The Erdos will be part of Nokia’s 8000 series. Verizon Wireless is launching the Nokia 7705 Twist, a unique phone with a square shape that swivels open to reveal a full QWERTY keypad. The Twist features a 2.4-inch QVGA LCD screen and a 3 Megapixel camera with video recording.

Nokia introduces not only the new X-series and the N97 mini, the Finnish cellphone maker also brings the Mural clamshell to the America via AT&T. The Mural is a clamshell mobile phone with 3G and HSDPA support. It has a 2.2-inch QVGA LCD screen, a large keypad, a 2 Megapixel camera and dedicated music buttons.

Finally, Nokia officially announced at the Nokia World its N97 mini QWERTY phone, which is a compact variation of the N97 device. The N97 mini comes with a full QWERTY keyboard and tilting touchscreen display.

Along with the X6, Nokia brings us the X3 that shares some of the design cues of the X6 and supports Nokia’s Ovi Store. Unlike the X6, the X3 is based on S40 OS and lacks support for WCDMA 3G and HSDPA but just quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE.
