Lenovo launches its new IdeaPad Y470p, an affordable yet powerful notebook for entertainment and gaming. The new Y470p model replaces the GeForce GT 520M on regular Y470 with a AMD Radeon HD 7690 graphics card with 1GB of video RAM. It is powered by a Intel Sandy Bridge Core i7-2670QM 2.2GHz processor and 8GB of DDR3 RAM.

Lenovo’s ThinkPad X130e student-oriented notebook is now available for just $429. Built to withstand K-12 education environment, the X130 is MILSPEC-tested for durability and comes with rubber bumper around top cover and stronger corners, bezel, hinges, keyboard and ports. The alway-son Active Protection System also protect the notebook against sudden drops.

Dell announced at the CES 2012 its all-new XPS 13 Ultrabook, a 13.3-inch ultra slim laptop with an edge-to-edge, display. Thanks to the near-frameless display and slim bezel, Dell packs a 13.3-inch screen in similar size of an 11-inch product. The super-thin notebook measures less than a quarter-inch at its thinnest point, and weighs just 1.36kg. It features a precision machined aluminum lid and a carbon fiber composite base

Gigabyte adds a new models to its Booktop line, the 11.6-inch T1132N with a convertiable design. With the optional rotatable docking station, you can even convert the T1132 into a desktop PC and adds a DVD SuperMulti burer. It comes with a 11.6-nich capacitive multitouch display with LED backlight and 1366×768 resolution.

HP announced the Folio 13, its first business Ultrabook with a thin and light design. According to HP, the new laptop offers up to 9 hours of battery life, the highest performance available among Ultrabook devices currently on the market. The 13.3-inch Ultrabook measures just 18mm thin and weighs only 3.3 pounds.

Dell announced the new XPS 14z, which is the thinnest fully featured 14-inch laptop featuring an internal optical drive. The 14z is a ultraportable notebook that measures less than an inch thin and Dell fits a 14-inch 1366×768 HD display into a 13-inch laptop form factor with a unique design.

Toshiba announced the Portege Z830 series, its first Ultrabook powered by 2nd gen Intel Core processors. The new Ultrabook is just 0.63-inch (15.9mm) thick and weighs less than 2.5 pounds, making it about 20 percent lighter and 40 percent thinner than the ultraportable Portégé R830 Series. It has magnesium alloy chassis with honeycomb structure for rigidity.

Dell announced the new Inspiron 13z and Inspiron 14z slim yet powerful notebook PCs. Both of them are powered by 2nd gen Intel Core i3/i5 processor with up to 8GB of RAM and 320GB/500GB hard drive or 128GB SSD. They are ideal for school papers, company reports, mobile entertainment, keeping in touch with friends and pursuing your passions.

Dell brings to small business customers its new Vostro V131 portable powerhouse engineered to maximize business productivity. The 13.3-inch notebook is powered by choice of Intel Sandy Bridge Core i3/i5 processor. It packs up to a 320GB hard drive.

Lenovo adds to its ThinkPad Edge line the new E425 and E525 models for small-to-medium businesses (SMB). The new Edge laptops project a smart, polished image with new soft finishes available in color choices of heatwave red or midnight black. They are 13 percent slimmer than previous versions.
