Cowon launches in the O2 portable media player in the US market. The O2 is Cowon’s first PMP to have a large 4.3-inch 480×272widescreend display. The O2 is powered by Texas Instruments DaVinci chipset and is able to deliver video output of up to 720P HD resolution using composite cable.

Cowon has also announced the new O2 PMP that comes with a simple elegant design. Like the S9, the O2 comes with built-in T-DMB tuner and supports music and movie playback, including the DivX, XviD, WMV, H.264 formats. Voice recording, image viewing, dictionary functions are also available.

MWg, previously know as O2 Asia, introduces the Zinc II PDA Phone. The phone is in fact the successor of O2’s Zinc. The company has released the Atom V before.

The MWg Zinc II is powered by a Samsung 500MHz processor, 256MB Flash ROM and 64MB RAM. It has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

Zinc II comes with also a 2.8-inch LCD touchscreen, a 2 Megapixel camera and support for quad-band GSM and HSDPA high-speed data. As for connectivity, the Zinc II features WiFi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth as well as GPS with the SIRF StarIII chipset. It has also a microSD card slot for expansion.

The MWg Zinc II runs Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS.

TrustedReviews has done a review on the O2 XDA Orbit 2 PDA phone, which is the successor of the XDA Orbit. Powered by a Qualcomm MSM7200 400MHz processor, the Orbit 2 has 256MB ROM and 128MB RAM. It comes with integrated GPS chipset and antenna and supports 3G / HSDPA connectivity.

The XDA Orbit 2 has a 2.8-inch LCD touchscreen, a 3 Megapixel camera with Auto Focus, Bluetooth, WiFi and a microSD card slot.
