Tour of the International Space Station

This is a tour given by NASA for us to learn more about one of the most challenging projects, the International Space Station.

Due to the ISS, there is always a permanent human presence in space, as there have always been at least two people on board ISS since the first permanent crew entered the ISS on November 2, 2000. It is serviced primarily by the Soyuz, Progress spacecraft units and Space Shuttle. The ISS is currently still under construction with a projected completion date of 2010.

JUST system releases the ‘Airpen storage notebook Limited Edition IV’. The AirPen Storage Notebook is a writing pad with memory for you to store what you wrote without the need of a PC. You can wrtie note and draw diagrams on the plain paper pad using Pentel new electronic pen with regular ink. The AirPen Storage Notebook will be able to store your work. It can store minimum 100 A5 notes into a memory unit.

Sharp shows us this ultimate electronic dictionary Papyrus PW-TC900 which can also be a TV. It is the first Japanese-English dictionary to have a 1Seg digital TV tuner and it has a LCD screen with 480×272 resolution which is powered by Sharp’s ASV technology. Other than TV, the dictionary has also MP3 player and a SD card slot.

Ultra Small Portable Bluetooth Barcode Reader

Bluebird soft in Korea presents the BI-300 which is a ultra small portable Bluetooth barcode reader/scanner. The portable Bluetooth barcode reader has a 1.3 Megapixel CMOS sensor for barcode scanning and it can transmit information gathered by reading barcode to a PC or a PDA wirelessly. It is expected to be rolled out in the first half of 2007.

Netron Tech to launch 900MHz RFID Reader

Netron Tech presented ‘NRC-3000′, a handheld 900MHz RFID reader during RFID/USN KOREA 2006. It is powered by a Intel PXA 255 400Mhz processor, 32MB ROM and 128MB RAM and it runs Windows CE 5.0 OS. It has a3.5-inch touchscreen, foldaway RFID antenna, RFID scanner, 1D/2D barcode scanner, USB, SD/CF card slots, 802.11b/g WLAN, and CDMA1x wireless communication capability. It weighs 600g. It will available in the first half of next year.

Triumph Shopping bag bra

Triumph Japan has unveiled a Shopping bag bra called “Kawaii Bag”. Of course it is a bra, but you can also transform into shopping bags that can be used to carry around your stuff. Check out the video after the break.
When the bra is being worn, the “shopping bag” portions are folded away inside the bra cups, where they serve as extra padding. The bra quickly converts to a shopping bag by removing the bag portions from the cups and connecting the hooks on the bra’s underwire. The lace cups serve as decoration along with the shoulder straps, which are disconnected and tied to the top of the bag as ribbons.

World’s Smallest Satellite Phone - Thuraya SO-2510

Looks like a outdated GSM mobile phone, right? Thuraya SO-2510 is in fact the World’s Smallest Satellite Phone which offers satellite services exclusively in a mobile handset that is as compact and light as a small GSM phone.

The device has a 1.5-inch 28 x 128 pixels screen with 65,000 colours, USB connectivity, and up to 32 MB of memory. Thuraya SO-2510 measures 118mm (height) x 53 mm (width) x 18.8 mm (thick), and weighs only 130 g.
As the world’s smallest and lightest satellite phone ever made (weighing only 130 g), the lightweight pocket size phone is designed to be highly portable and more user friendly than ever before.

In addition, the Global Positioning System feature in the handset facilitates ‘location tracking’ while roaming in remote and unconnected areas in Thuraya’s network.
