Pentax announced the Optio WS80, a new waterproof digital camera, replacing the WS60.The WS80 features a 10 Megapixel CCD imaging sensor, a 5x optical zoom Pentax lens, 5.7x digital zoom, and a 2.7-inch LCD display.

Right before the CES 2009, Pentax announced the new Optio P70 and Optio E70 compact digital cameras. Pentax Optio P70 is an ultra slim camera with 12 Megapixel image sensor 4x optical zoom with 28mm wide angle, and a 2.7-inch LCD display. It offers ISO up to 6400 and Digital Shake Reduction. Pentax’s Optio P70 can capture 720p videos at 15fps.
