Plextor introduces the new PX-B940SA Blu-ray writer that is able to write BD-R Single layer ot Dual layer at up to 12X speed, joining Pioneer’s BDR-S05J/BDR-205. The burner writes BD-R LtH at 6X, BD-RW SL/DL at 2X, DVD+/-R at 16X, DVD+/-RW and DVD+/-R DL at 8X and DVD-RAM at 5X. CD-R/RW are also supported at up to 40X.

Plextor announced three new optical drives. The six drives inlcude PX-610U 8x Slim External USB DVD+/-RW, PX-B310SA and PX-B310U 6x Blu-ray combo, PX-850SA and PX-850A 22x Super Multi DVD+/-RW drives.

Plextor rolls out its StorX PX-NAS500L and PX-NAS1000L NAS drives, which has 500GB and 1TB capacity respectively. They support GigaLAN (10/100/1000 Mbps) and are very user-friendly.
