It looks like HTC is going to launch in Russia its T8290 Quartz WiMAX-enabled PDA phone. This new WiMAX actually looks like HTC’s Touch HD but with non-round edges. The phone will be HTC’s first WiMAX mobile phone. The T8290 Quartz is powered by a Qualcomm ESM7206A  528MHz processor, 128 or 256MB RAM and 512MB ROM. It features a 3.8-inch large touchscreen display and a 5 Megapixel camera.

HTC’s T8290 Quartz comes with a Sequans SQN1130 chipset for WiMAX 802.16e support. It supports also WiFi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth GPS and irDA connectivity. The phone has also the GSensor accelerometer, microSD/SDHC card slot and TV out. T8290 supports quad-band GSM, 3G and HSUPA networks.

Other than the P890 and the S630, iDo presents also the S601, a light weight Pocket PC phone which weighs 140 g.

THe iDo S601 is powered by a Freescale i.MX21 350 MHz processor, 128MB ROM、64MB RAM and runs the Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phone Edition OS.

It has a 2.8-inch 260k colors LCD touch-scrren, a 1.3 Megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth with A2DP, InfraRed, QR-Code, support for  MPEG4 / H.263 video and has a miniSD card slot. The S601 also comes with a cover, with number keys, to protect the screen.It measures 109 x 55 x 21.5 mm.

The phone is now available in Hong Kong for about $4000 Hong Kong dollars ($520USD) and there are two colors, grey and white.

iDo launched in Hong Kong the P890 smartphone running the Windows Mobile 5.0 PPC Phone Edition OS with Push Mail . The iDo P890 is powered by a Freescale iMX21 350MHz processor, 128MB Flash ROM, 64MB RAM. It has a 2.8-inch 260k color LTPS TFT LCD touch screen, a 3 Megapixel camera, QWERTY keyboard, Blueotth 1.2 with A2DP, miniSD slot.

The P890 can record MPEG4 video and it supports MPEG4, H.263, 3GP, ASF, WMV video, MP3, WAV, WMA, AAC, AAC+ audio files. It measures 126 x 59.4 x 22.4 mm for 195g.

The iDo P890 is available now in Hong Kong and is priced at 4980 Hong Kong Dollars.
