Alongside the compact SD4500 IS, Canon brings another long zoom digital camera, the PowerShot SX130 IS, replacing the SX120 IS. Canon equipps the camera with a 12x optical zoom lens with Optical Image Stabilization and 28mm wide angle, upgrading from 10x zoom of SX120 IS.

Other than the 14x zoom SX210 IS and the touchscreen SD3500 IS, Canon brings also the super slim PowerShot SD1400 IS (IXUS 130 in Europe and IXY 400F in Japan)and SD1300 IS (IXUS 105 in Europe and IXY 200F in Japan) Digital ELPH cameras, replacing the SD940 IS and SD780 IS.

Canon adds to its Digital ELPH line the new PowerShot SD3500 IS (known as Digital IXUS 210 in Europe and IXY 10S in Japan) digital camera. Equipped with a 14.1 Megapixel sensor, the SD3500 IS sports a 24mm ultra-wide angle lens with 5x Optical Zoom and a 3.5-inch PureColor II LCD touchscreen for intuitive operation, larger than SD980 IS‘s 3-inch touch display.

Canon announced the PowerShot SX210 IS digital camera made to replace the SX200 IS. The new SX210 IS features a 28mm wide-angle lens with 14x Optical Zoom and 4-stop optical Image Stabilizer with Dynamic IS. It is equipped with a 14.1 Megapixel sensor and a 3-inch PureColor II G LCD.

Canon updates its flagship PowerShot G series with the new PowerShot G11 digital camera, a pocket-sized camera with SLR functionality. The G11 gets the tilt and swivel LCD back, since Canon cuts that since PowerShot G7.

Canon revives its PowerShot S-series by introducing the new PowerShot S90 digital camera that borrowing its good looks from the PowerShot Digital ELPH line and its high-end functionality from the PowerShot G-series.

Canon PowerShot SX20 IS 20x Zoom Camera Front

Along with the new Digital ELPH cameras, Canon brings the PowerShot SX20 IS and SX120 IS super-zoom digital cameras, supposed to replace the SX10 and SX200 respectively. The former has a 20x optical zoom lens with 28mm wide angle while the latter gets a 10x optical zoom lens.

Canon’s PowerShot SX200 IS is a 12.1 Megapixel camera with 12x optical zoom, 28mm wide angle, 4x digital zoom and optical image stabilization. It offers Face Detection, Blink detection and Smart Auto scene selection functions and is based on DIGIC4 image processor.

It’s a solid, better-than-average performer in most respects, with great zoom range, wide-ranging control options to please everyone from novices to enthusiasts, a lucid interface, 720p video capture, and decent construction. Even with all of this, though, the SX200 comes off as just a little – dare we say it? – boring.

In addition to PowerShot SD series, Canon expands its PowerShot A series by introducing PowerShot A2100 IS, A1100 IS and A480 digital cameras, that serve as upgrades to A2000, A1000 and A470.

In additiont to the SD970 IS and SD960 IS, Canon presents two more SD series models, the PowerShot SD780 IS and SD1200 IS.

The PowerShot SD780 IS is a fashionanle ELPH camera which has a ultra slim, modern look and will be available in Black, Red, Silver and Gold. SD780 IS is a 12.1 Megapixle camera with 3x optical zoom. It can record 1280x720p video clips and has integrated HDMI connector. Blink Detection is also included.
