While the Studio 15 is a 15-inch laptop, Dell offers the Studio 17  with 17-inch display. The Studio 17 is a Centrino 2 based laptop. NotebooReview has reviewed the laptop. The tested unit is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 2.5GHz processor, 3GB of memory, 320GB hard drive and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 graphics with 256MB RAM. It features also a DVD SuperMulti DL burner, WiFi, 17-inch display, webcam and fingerprint scanner.

NotebookReview’s conclusion:
the Dell Studio 17 is the most impressive 17-inch consumer notebook we’ve seen so far this year. The build quality, range of customizable options, expandability, style, and price make this an excellent choice if you’re in the market for a 17-inch notebook. Still, we would have liked to see more graphics card options than just the integrated Intel X3100 and dedicated ATI Radeon HD 3650……Bottom line, you’ll be hard pressed to find a better 17-inch notebook in the same price range at the time of this writing.

Here is the Sony HVR-Z7E camcorder review from TrustedReviews. Sony HVR-Z7E features a 12x Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* zoom lens, a 1.2 Megapixel progressive 3 ClearVid CMOS Sensor, and a 3.2-inch LCD display. The camcorder supports HDMI output and has i.Link connector. Sony HVR-Z7E uses CF as storage media.

TrustedReviews’s Verdict:
Sony’s embracing of solid state recording is a sign of how tape’s days as a primary recording medium are numbered, even if it’s still the most cost effective choice for long-term archiving. With its removable lens system and choice of recording systems, the HVR-Z7E is a great camcorder for electronic news gathering and independent filmmaking alike.

Though not yet available in the US, iRiver has launched its E100 in the Europe market. Pocketable managed to get an E100 and does a review on it. iRiver E100 is a media player that is available in 2GB, 4GB or 8GB of capacity. It has a 2.4-inch LCD display, FM tuner and support for FM & voice recording and line-in recording. There is also a microSD card slot.

Pocketable’s Conclusion:
The iriver E100 is a stylish digital audio player that ups the ante with native FLAC support, built-in stereo speakers, microSD card expansion slot, and line-in recording functions on top of the usual feature set many expect to find on modern DAPs.

Unfortunately, some of what sets the E100 apart from the crowd isn’t done as well as it should be (e.g., speaker sound quality, non-integration of microSD card contents), turning what would normally be considered strong points into part of the player’s weaknesses.
