Panasonic updates its Toughnook 19 rugged convertible tablet pc that now sports Intel Core i5-540UM 1.2GHz processor. It packs 2GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive or optional 128GB SSD, and integrated graphics.

Panasonic UK updates its Toughbook CF-52 semi-rugged notebook and the business-rugged Toughbook CF-T8 tablet PC. The former is now equipped with Intel Core i5 processor up to 2.53GHz, 2GB of RAM and up to a 250GB shock-mounted hard drive while the latter gets Intel Core 2 Duo 1.6GHz processor and a removable 250GB hard drive.

General Dynamics announced the new Itronix GD8000 notebook that takes rugged to the next level. The GD8000 has a Magnesium chassis and impact absorbing polycarbonate casing and meets MIL-STD 810F standard. It can withstand a drop from 42-inch, 30 gallons of water blown at 40 mph and operates in temperature from -22 degrees F to 140 degrees F.

Trimble announced the new Yuma tugged tablet handheld computer, which meets the MIL-STD-810F military standards for drops, vibration and humidity and IP67 rating for impervious to dust and water and extreme temperatures from -30 to 60 °C.

Panasonic has just updated its Toughbook 19 and 30, and the company announces updates to its Toughbook 52 semi-rugged notebook. The Toughbook 52 now comes with a touchscreen option with integrated stylus. You may also get a 1,000 nit anti-glare (AG) and anti-reflective (AR) screen.

Panasonic announced the upgrades to its ToughBook 19 rugged convertible tablet PC and the Toughbook 30 clamshell rugged laptop.
