McIntosh is launching the new MCD1100 disc player that supports CD, CD-R, CD-RW, SACD, Hybrid SACD, MP3 and WMA stereo music discs. It is equipped with the ESS’s Sabre32 Reference Audio D/A Converter (ES9018), which can also be found in OPPO’s BDP-95 Universal 3D Blu-ray player. The player is built on a rigid aluminum die-cast mechanism base with aluminum die-cast tray and a 3D front panel.

Pioneer Elite G-Clef PD-D6MK2

Pioneer announced two new CD/SACD players in its Elite G-Clef line, the PD-D6MK2 and the PD-D9MK2. The former gets Twin Burr-Brown D/A convert while the latter packs Twin Wolfson D/A converter.

Marantz is going to release the UD7005 and UD5005 Universal Media Players. Both models supports Blu-ray Discs, DVDs, standard and recordable CDs, DVD-Audio, SACD, as well as DivX files in addition to AVCHD (high definition video format for camcorder) contained on discs or solid-state memory devices, and WMA, MP3, and JPEG files from either discs or SD cards. The Marantz SA8004 plays SDCD, CD, CD-R/RW as well as MP3 and WMA files from CD-R/RW. It features discrete Analog Audio Circuit featuring marantz HDAM-SA2 circuit with double side shielded printing board, Dual PLL circuits for Low Jitter Signal Transmission, Cirrus Logic CS4398 D/A Converter with Digital Filter, and a front USB input port for USB memory and iPod/iPhone connection.
