Kingston announced its new SSDNow V+200 solid state drives, which are “ideal high-performance upgrade solution for the performance minded yet cost-conscious business or home user”. The latest SSDNow series uses SATA 3.0 6Gbps interface and utilizes SandForce SF-2281 processor for enhanced performance with up to 535MB/s sequential read and 480MB/s sequential write speeds.

Patriot Memory introduces the new Mac Series XT solid state drives optimized for Mac computers. The new SSD is powered by SandForce’s SF-2281 SSD processor and synchronous NAND. Using SATA 6Gbps inteface, the XT SSD offers up to 520MB/s read and 500MB/s write speeds with 80,000 IOPS maximum 4k random write performance.

Kingston HyperX SSD based on SandForce Controller

Kingston announced its first HyperX SSD, its first solid state drive based on SandForce’s controller. Equipped with SandForce’s SF-2281 controllers featuring SATA Rev 3.0 (6Gb/s), the HyperX uses Intel 25nm compute NAND flash memory and is available in 120GB and 240GB capacities. You can expect up to 525MB/s read and 480MB/s write speeds and 4KB random read/write speeds of up to 95,000/70,000 IOPS.
