Seagate introduces its second generation Momentus XT solid state hybrid drive (SSHD) for notebooks. The new SSHD is available in 750GB capacity. Seagate’s Momentus XT combines solid state flash memory with 7200RPM hard drive to deliver enhanced performance, and features the FAST Factor technology that blends the strengths of SSDs and hard disk drives for faster access to applications, quicker bootup and higher overall system speed.

Seagate launches the GoFlex Cinema multimedia drive, which is a HD media player with built-in hard drive. The drive supports media playback in Full HD 1080p and offers HDMI 1.3 output. The GoFlex Cinema is avalable in 1TB, 2TB and 3TB, and users can expand capacity by swapping out GoFlex Desk drives. It uses USB interface, allowing you connect a second USB drive or digital camera for a wider range of digital media inputs.

Seagate’s new drive has 500GB of storage capacity.
