Sony announced the new Cyber-Shot DSC-TX1 slim digital camera that is equipped with the EXMOR R back-illuminated CMOS sensor, which is optimizes for low-light shooting. The TX1 gets a 10.2 Megapixel sensor, a 4x zoom Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, a 3-inch Clear Photo LCD Plus display.

Sony Europe introduces the new Cyber-shot W190 and W180 slim, pocket-sized and stylish digital cameras. The W190 and W180 feature 12.1 Megapixel and 10.1 Megapixel image sensor respectively. They have 3X optical zoom and 17x (W180) or 18x (W190) digital zoom ability.

Sony announced three new alpha digital SLR cameras, including DSLR-A380, DSLR-A330 and DSLR-A230, for first-time DSLR users. The A330 and A230 both have a 10.2 Megapixel sensor while the A380 comes with a 14.2 Megapixel image sensor.

Along with the H20, T90 and T900, Sony presents the Cyber-shot DSC-W290 and DSC-W230 entry-level compact digital cameras. Both of them are 12.1 Megapixel cameras. The W290 has a 5x Carl Zeiss optical zoom lens while the W230 gets a 4x zoom lens. They have a 3-inch LCD display.

Other than the budget 10x zoom H20, Sony introduces the slim, compact Cyber-shot T90 (pictured above) and T900 compact touchscreen digital cameras. Both T90 and T900 have a 12.1 Megapixel image sensor, 4x Carl Zeiss Vario Tessar optical zoom lens, and functions like Smile Detection, Face Detection,  Intelligent scene recognition (iSCN). Both cameras can record 720p HD video at 30fps.

Sony announced the new Cyber-shot DSC-H20, a budget-priced ultra zoom digital camera. The Cyber-shot DSC-H20 features a 10x Carl Zeiss optical zoom lens with 38 – 380 mm (35mm equivalent) focal length. Sony’s H20 has 10.1 Megapixel CCD image sensor, and a 3-inch LCD display.

At the CES 2009, Sony presents the Cyber-shot DSC-G3 WiFi digital camera, which is the world’s first to have web browser.

The G3 supports WiFi connection and comes with a built in Web browser. When the camera is connected to the internet, it will navigate to the Sony Easy Upload Home Page that has direct links to photo sharing sites like Shutterfly and Picasa Web Albums; video sharing sites like YouTube and Dailymotion; and a photo and video sharing site, such as Photobucket.

Sony brings not only camcorders to the CES 2009 but also the new Cyber-Shot DSC-W220 compact digital camera. The new Cyber-Shot DSC-W220 features 12 Megapixel imager, Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 4X optical zoom lens with 30mm wide angle, and a 2.7-inch LCD screen.
