Sony announced the new Cyber-shot DSC-T2 compact camera which is available in 5 colors. The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T2 is a 8 Megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens, 3x optical zoom, image stabilization, ISO rating up to 3200. It has a 2.7-inch LCD touchscreen and 4GB internal storage. The T2 features also Sony’s ‘Smile Shutter’ and face recognition technology.

CameraLab has a review on the Sony Cyber-Shot H9 digital camera. The Sony Cyber-Shot H9 has a 8.1 Megapixel CCD image sensor, a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens with 15x optical zoom, ISO sensitivity up to 3200, Super Steady Shot anti-shake technology. H9 has also a 3-inch LCD display and it supports Memory Stick and Memory Stick Pro Duo memory cards.

Verdict from CameraLab:
There’s no doubt the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H9 is a very impressive camera, but like the other super-zooms we’ve compared it against, you’ll need to carefully weigh-up the pros and cons. If you’re after a super-zoom with the biggest, most flexible screen and fastest focusing, then the Sony’s for you….Like other super-zooms though, smearing through noise reduction is a serious problem with the H9, but probably its biggest failing is not giving you a chance to do anything about it….However much we enjoyed using the H9 and were delighted by its screen and focusing speed, its often compromised image quality and inability to do anything about it prevent us from awarding our highest recommendation. There are however enough great things about the H9 though for us to confidently award it our Recommended rating. It ain’t perfect, but if the plus points are high on your shopping list, you’ll easily forgive the rest.
