Sony announced its new Handycam NEX-VG20 Full HD digital camcorder, which is the successor to the NEX-VG10 – the world’s first consumer HD camcorder with interchangeable lenses. The new VG20 is compatible with E-Mount lenses and can be connected to the optional LA-EA2 lens mount adaptor providing even wider compatibility with the established family of A-mount optics.

Sony introduces a new flash memory-based Full HD camcorder, the Handycam HDR-CX700Vw ith 96GB storage which is enough for storing up to 40 hours of HD LP video footage. The CX700 features 6.65 Megapixel back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS Sensor for capturing 1920×1080 Full HD 60p/24p video and 12 Megapixel still images. It includes CinemaTone technology to deepen the color and recreate film-like color tones.

Sony introduces three new Handycam Full HD camcorders with built-in LED-based projectors. The HDR-PJ50V has 220GB hard drive, while the HDR-PJ30V has 32GB flash memory and HDR-PJ10 has 16GB flash memory. All of them have a 3-inch flip-out Clear Photo LCD PLUS panel and a compact, LED projector is built into this LCD panel, which is able to project up to 60-inch images.

Sony introduced at the CES 2011 the Handycam HDR-TD10, the world’s first Double Full HD 3D consumer camcorder. The HDR-TD10 features an integrated dual lens system, which includes two of each key component – double Sony G Lenses, double Exmor R back-illuminated CMOS image sensors, and double BIONZ image processors to record 1920×1080 Full HD 60p/24p video. The lenses offer 10x optical zoom in 3D mode.

Sony Handycam DCR-SX15E

While we are heading to the world of HD, Sony brings two new value-priced Standard Definition camcorders, the Handycam DCR-SX15E and DCR-SR15E. These camcorders are almost identical, except that the former uses Memory Stick PRO DUO Mark 2 or SD card for storage while the latter comes with built-in 80GB hard drive.

As mentioned before, Sony is developing a NEX camcorder. Now Sony has announced its new Handycam NEX-VG10, the world’s first consumer camcorder with interchangeable lenses.
