Sony Mobile announced two new LTE smartphones for the Japanese market, the Xperia GX and Xperia SX, joining the Xperia NX and Xperia acro HD. Both of them support LTE mobile network and delivers a download speed of up to 75Mbps, and the SX is the world’s lightest LTE smartphone weighing just 95g. They are powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. The GX features a curved design like the Xperia Arc, with a matte texture and slimline body.

Sony Mobile announced yet another Xperia smartphone, the Xperia solo featuring the Floating Touch navigation technology allows you to browse the web without actually touching the screen. The Floating Touch allows uers to navigate the web by hovering their finger above the screen so it acts like a moving curser, without actually having to touch the screen.

Along with the Xperia P, the Xperia U, announced at the MWC 2012, is another new addition to Sony’s Xperia NXT series, joining the Xperia S. The Xperia U is powered by the same STE NOVATHOR U8500 dual-core 1GHz processor as the P and gets 512MB RAM and 8GB internal storage. It features a 3.5-inch 854×480 Reality Display with BRAVIA Engine and a 5 Megapixel auto focuscamera with 720p HD video recording, LED flash, 3D Sweep panorama; and a front-facing camera.

Sony Mobile adds to its Xperia NXT series the new Xperia P that sits between the Xperia S and Xperia U. Basically, you can consider the P as the mid-range version of the Xperia S, but instead of plastic body the Xperia P gets a full full aluminum unibody design. Sony Ericsson (going to drop Ericsson) announced at the CES 2012 the new Xperia S, which according to the company is the “first smartphone from the new Xperia NXT series – next generation smartphones from Sony”. As the next flagship of the Xperia lineup, the new phone is powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz MSM8260 processor with 1GB of RAM. The new Xperia’s transparent element at the base creates an iconic silhouette where the display is emphasized and underlined.
