Sony is launching two high-end Full HD camcorders with built-in projector, the Handycam HDR-PJ760V and Handycam HDR-PJ710V. Both camcorders have a ultra compact LED projector built into the flip-out LCD panel for showing video and images at up to 100-inch diagonal screen on walls, ceilings, or other flat surfaces. The built-in projector delivers 640×360 resolution.

Sony launches the new Bloggie Sport HD, a rugged 1080p Full HD video camcorder. The pocket camera is equipped with a 5.03 Megapixel Exmor CMOS image sensor and a F2.8 optics. With leather-like rubber bumper, it is waterproof down to 16 feet, and is shockproof to withstand up to 5 foot drop. It also has dirt and dust resistant seals that help make it nearly impervious to mud, snow, rain, and grime.

Sony adds to its Alpha DSLR camera line the latest Alpha A57 camera with Translucent Mirror technology. replacing the one-and-a-half year old Alpha A55. According to Sony, the Translucent Mirro design directs incoming light to the CMOS image sensor and the AF sensor at the same time, allowing full-time continuous AF during both still and video shooting. The DSLR packs a 16.1 Megapixel APS-C Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor and  a latest-generation BIONZ engine. It offers an ISO range from 100 to 16,000 and extendable to up to ISO 25,600.

Sony Mobile announced yet another Xperia smartphone, the Xperia solo featuring the Floating Touch navigation technology allows you to browse the web without actually touching the screen. The Floating Touch allows uers to navigate the web by hovering their finger above the screen so it acts like a moving curser, without actually having to touch the screen.

Sony launches a new Walkman digital music player, the small and lightweight B170. The player has built-in USB connector, just like a USB flash drive, and you can load your song with simply drag-and drop, with no need to install diver or software. You can even plug the player to HiFi audio systems or car audio for direct music playback. It features the ZAPPIN search technology that will scan your music collection and lets you preview a snatch of each track without menus or playlists.

Unlike other gadgets, rugged digital cameras can be very stylish and slim. Sony shows you its latest creation, the Cyber-shot DSC-TX20, a ultra slim, stylish yet rugged digital camera ideal for everyday adventures, from skiing to trips to the beach or pool. The TX20 is waterproof up to 5 meters, shockproof up to 1.5m, freezeproof (up to 14F) and dustproof.

Sony adds to its Cyber-shot lineup a new ultra slim digital camera, the DSC-TX66 that measures just 12.2mm at its thinnest part, which is about the thickness of a standard AA size battery. The camera sports a 18.2 Megapixel Exmor R CMOS image sensor and a 5x optical zoom lens. It features super fast AF speed of approximately 0.13 second in daylight, 0.25 seconds in low-light, and packs BIONZ high-speed image processor. The TX66 also includes Extra High Sensitivity technology for enhanced low light performance.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX150 Blue

Sony is launching in May two new compact long-zoom cameras, the Cyber-shot DSC-WX150 and DSC-W690, which are the world’s thinnest 10x optical zoom cameras on the market. Both cameras are equipped with 10x optical zoom lens with 25mm wide angle and the newly developed AA lens element. The WX150 adds the Clear Image Zoom technology extending the zoom range to 20x at full resolution, and sports BIONZ image processor. The WX150 features 18.2 Megapixel Exmor R CMOS sensor while the W690 has a 16.1 Megapixel CCD imager.

Sony has announced two headphones in Europe, the MDR-55 and the MDR-ZX600 with street-smart urban design. Both models feature a compact design with swiveling earcups that fold flat for easy storage and carry. They are equipped with large 40mm driver units with Neodymium magnets to deliver rich sound with extended bass and detail-packed highs.
