Finally, the HTC Leo has been spotted in the wild showing off its large 4.3-inch 800×480 LCD capacitive touchscreen. The Leo is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8250 1GHz processor, 320MB RAM and 512MB flash memory. It gets a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi and a microSD card slot.

HTC will launch on 6 October its new Touch2 smartphone that runs the latest Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional OS, which includes the new services such as Microsoft My Phone and Windows Marketplace for Mobile.

Motorola announced the CLIQ, the company’s first Android smartphone and the first to have the MOTOBLUR.  Motorola also named the CLIQ as the first phone with Social Skills. The CLIQ comes with a sliding QWERTY keyboard. It will be known outside the US as the Motorola DEXT. If you remember, the CLIQ looks pretty like the leaked Morrison.

Palm officially announced its second webOS-based smartphone, the Pixi (aka Eos previously) following the Palm Pre. The Pixi is a slim smartphone with a visible full keyboard. It will be available from Sprint in holiday season.

Verizon and Samsung announced the launch of two new messaging mobile phones, the Samsung Rogue SCH-U960 (aka Glyde 2) and Samsung Intensity SCH-U450. Both phones come with a slide-out four-row QWERTY keyboard.

HTC presents the Tattoo (aka HTC Click) Android-based smartphone, which is the company’s second phone to have the HTC Sense UI. The Tattoo is designed to bring broad personalization to the masses.

It’s now official that T-Mobile Germany will release the new Pulse Android mobile phone that is actually the Huawei U8220. The handset packs a 3.5-inch 320×480 LCD touchscreen, a 3.2 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi and HSDPA support. You can expect a SD card slot.
