Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX5V

Sony launches at the CES 2010 two new Cyber-shot cameras, the DSC-HX5V and the DSC-TX7, that are the world’s first compact digital cameras to include 1080i HD (1920 x 1080 60i) Advanced Video Codec High Definition (AVCHD) video capability.

Samsung launches at the CES 2010 its CL80 digital camera with integrated WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity and a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen. The 14.2 Megapixel CL80 features a 7x Schneider KREUZNACH zoom lens. It is just 0.77-inch thick.

Kodak announced its SLICE touchscreen digital camera that features a 3.5-inch touchscreen display. The SLICE has a 14 Megapixel CCD image sensor and a 5X SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH Lens. It can record 720p HD video at 30fps.

In addition to the new DualView cameras, Samsung is adding to its camera lineup the CL65, another camera that “represents the next step in the evolution of the digital camera.” The CL65 includes built-in GPS for geo-tagging, Bluetooth 2.0 and WiFi connectivity and is DLNA compatible.

Yet another stylish compact camera from Nikon, the CoolPix S70 features a 3.5-inch large OLED touchscreen. As the successor of the S60, the S70 offers Touch Shutter and Auto focus functions that allow users to haev the camera focus and shoot by simply tapping the OLED display.

GE’s General Imaging presents the E1250TW digital camera with touchscreen display. The 12  Megapixel E1250T features 5x optical zoom, 28mm wide angle, ISO up to 1600, and a 3-inch touchscreen display.

Other than the ZS3 and ZS1, Panasonic announced the new Lumix DMC-FX580 (aka DMC-FX550) digital camera with touchscreen, which is the successor of the Lumix DMC-FX500. The Lumix DMC-FX580 is a 12.1 Megapixel camera with a  25mm ultra-wide-angle LEICA DC lens with F2.8 brightness and a 5x optical zoom.
