Verizon Wireless made its long-rumored LG Versa smartphone official. One of the main features of the Versa is it’s detachable QWERTY keyboard that is integrated into a case for the Versa.

The LG Versa features a 3-inch 480×240 touchscreen display, a 2 Megapixel auto focus camera with flash, Bluetooth, and a microSD card slot. The case itself includes an OLED display for displaying time and caller ID.

At the MWC 2009, Korean company Hyundai showed its MB-490i Dolphin touchscreen mobile phone. The Dolphin has a 240 x 400 touchscreen display, and a 3.2 Megapixel camera.

At the MWC 2009, Samsung presents not only the UltraTOUCH S8300 and i7410 projector phone, the Korean company showed also a new touchscreen mobile phone, the GT-S5600.

Acer officially announced its Tempo X960, which has been leaked before the MWC 2009. The Tempo X960 is powered by a Samsung S3C 6400 533MHz processor, 128MB RAM and 256MB flash memory.

LG, at the MWC 2009, presents the new GM730 Windows Mobile 6.1-based smartphone featuring the S-Class 3D UI. The LG GM730 features a 3-inch 240×400 LCD touchscreen display, a 5 Megapixel camera, and a front camera for video calls.

At the MWC 2009, Samsung introduces two BEAT Edition mobile phones, the previously leaked BEATDJ M7600 and the BEATDISC M6710. The BEATDJ features a 2.8-inch AMOLED 240×400 full touchscren display and comes with BEAT DJ application and DISC UI that allows users to add their own voice and sound effects to their favourite songs using Music Filters, Scratch, DJ Mix functions.

Samsung announced the new OmniaHD I8910, the brand new replacement of the Samsung Omnia. The OmniaHD features a 3.7-inch 16million color AMOLED QHD touchscreen display and a 8.1 Megapixel auto focus camera that can record 24fps 1280x720p HD video clips. The camera offers also Face Detection, Smile Shot, Blink Shot and Panorama Shot functions.

With the huge success of the Touch Diamond, HTC presents the succeeding model, the Touch Diamond2 at the MWC 2009. The Touch Diamond2 is the non-QWERTY version of the new Touch Pro2 but with a smaller display and better camera.

At the MWC 2009, HTC introduces the new Touch Pro2 QWERTY smartphone, the successor of the Touch Pro. The Touch Pro2 comes with HTC’s new TouchFLO 3D interface and the zoom bar for zooming in and out when viewing images, web pages or Google Maps.
