Panasonic announced the Toughbook S9, the world’s lightest 12.1-inch notebook with integrated DVD drive. With a standard battery that offers 11 hours of battery life, the S9 weighs just 3 pounds.

Panasonic introduces the newest Toughbook U1 Ultra, a fully rugged ultra-mobile PC that meets MIL-STD-810G and IP65 standards for environmental conditions, and is able to withstand a drop of 6 feet from any angle. It has also IP65 certified sealed all-weather design with magnesium alloy chassis and is UL1604 (Class 1, Div 2) certified.

Panasonic adds to its Toughbook line the new Toughbook F9 (aka Let’s Note CF-F9) thin-and-light business-rugged notebook, follow up to the F8. Weighs just 3.6 pounds, the F9 is the the industry’s lightest 14-inch laptop. As a rugged device, the F9 survives drops of 30-inch to the base of the unit while operating and 26 drops (to every side, corner and face) from 12-inch to a non-yielding surface.

Panasonic updates its Toughnook 19 rugged convertible tablet pc that now sports Intel Core i5-540UM 1.2GHz processor. It packs 2GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive or optional 128GB SSD, and integrated graphics.

Panasonic announced its latest addition to the Toughbook line, the Toughbook CF-31, which is the “most powerful fully rugged notebook PC on the market”. The CF-31 comes with rugged certifications beyond MIL-STD-810G and IP65 and is ideal for any mobile professional facing extreme environments, such as first responders, military personnel, and field workers in industries.

Panasonic ToughBook CF-52

Panasonic UK updates its Toughbook CF-52 semi-rugged notebook and the business-rugged Toughbook CF-T8 tablet PC. The former is now equipped with Intel Core i5 processor up to 2.53GHz, 2GB of RAM and up to a 250GB shock-mounted hard drive while the latter gets Intel Core 2 Duo 1.6GHz processor and a removable 250GB hard drive.

Panasonic announced the new durable Toughbook C1 which is the world’s lightest 12.1-inch convertible tablet PC weighing just 3.2 pounds with one battery (3.7 pounds with two). Powered by Intel’s Core i5-520M 2.4GHz processor, the C1 offers desktop performance in a lightweight and highly mobile form factor.

Panasonic introduces the new Toughbook H1 Field that claimed to be the world’s most rugged handheld tablet computer. The tablet is certified to meet IP65 and MIL-STD-810G – with a six foot drop rating, offering the durability expected of Toughbook mobile computers, so users have the confidence to work in the most demanding conditions.

Panasonic announced the upgrades to its ToughBook 19 rugged convertible tablet PC and the Toughbook 30 clamshell rugged laptop. Both devices are now based on Intel’s Centrino 2 with vPro technology and offers a “concealed mode” which allows users to easily turn all device lights off – screen and LEDs – using a function (Fn) key.

The Panasonic Toughbook 19 Convertible Tablet PC is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 1.2GHz processor, up to 4GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive. It has a 10.4-inch LED backlit display with Circular polarization and 4 to 1000 nit LCD brightness.
