Casio announced in Japan the new HIGH-SPEED EXILIM EX-FH25 and EX-FC150 digital cameras that serves as successor to the EX-FH20 and EX-FC100. Casio’s new cameras are both equipped with a 10 Megapixel backlit CMOS image sensor and are capable of 1000fps high speed shooting (but at 224×64 resolution).

FujiFilm announced the FinePix S200EXR long zoom digital camera that is the successor of the S100FS. The FinePix S200EXR is positioned as a top-end camera. It is FujiFilm’s third camera to use the Super CCD EXR image sensor.

FujiFilm announced the new FinePix F70EXR, a sleek, compact digital camera with a 10X long zoom Fujinon lens. The FinePix F70EXR, the second camera to use EXR sensor after the F200EXR,  has a 10 Megapixel Super CCD EXR imgae sensor.

Pentax X70 is a prosumer ultra zoom digital camera with a 24x optical zoom lens. It has a 12 Megapixel image sensor and offers 50-6400 ISO. The camera has a high-speed shooting mode that takes up to 11 photos per second and is able to record 720p HD video clips. The camera has a 2.7-inch LCD screen.

Sony announced the new Cyber-shot DSC-H20, a budget-priced ultra zoom digital camera. The Cyber-shot DSC-H20 features a 10x Carl Zeiss optical zoom lens with 38 – 380 mm (35mm equivalent) focal length. Sony’s H20 has 10.1 Megapixel CCD image sensor, and a 3-inch LCD display.

Nikon announced the new CoolPix P90 digital camera that offers 24x optical zoom. The CoolPix P90 features a 12.1-inch CCD image sensor, a 24x Zoom-NIKKOR lens with 26mm wide angle, EXPEED image processor, 64-6400 ISO and image sensor shift vibration reduction.

Kodak is going to showoff at the CES 2009 its EASYSHARE Z980 digital camera with 24X optical zoom. Kodak’s EASYSHARE Z980 is a 12 Megapixel camera with a 24X zoom SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH VARIOGON lens, a 3-inch LCD display. It supports HD video recording.

 

Sony announced also the Cyber-Shot DSC-H50, a digital camera with 15x optical zoom. The camera has a  9 Megapixel CCD image sensor and a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 15x zoom lens. H50 comes with also 2x digital zoom, ISO 3200, Burst Mode, SteadyShot …
