At the IDF 2009, UMID shows the world the successor to the mbook M1, known as the mbook M2. The M2 will pack Intel’s Atom 1.2GHz or 1.6GHz processor and 1GB of memory. The new mbook has a LCD display of about 4.8-inch and QWERTY keyboard. The UMID mbook M2 is expected to be released in Q4 2009.

Kohjinsha introduces the new PM series ultra mini netbook in Japan, which is basically the rebranded UMID mbook M1. The Kohjinsha PM series (model PM1WX16SA) is boosted by Intel’s Atom Z510 1.1GHz processor, 512MB of memory, and onboard graphics. The PM series gets a 16GB SSD and a microSD/SDHC card slot.

UMID has made its M1, the Pocket PC mbook, MID official. The M1 mbook has a 4.8-inch touchscreen and a QWERTY keyboard. The Korean company doesn’t provide technical specs of the M1. After break, you watch a video hands-on of the mbook.
