T-Mobile has announced the price for the new PDA phone Ameo which is formerly known as HTC Athena. The T-Mobile Ameo(HTC Athena) is powered by an Intel Intel PXA270 624 MHz processor, 256MB ROM, 8GB of hard drive. It has a 5-inch VGA LCD touch-screen, Bluetooth 2/0 and WiFi 802.11b/g. The Ameo supports WCDMA, HSDPA 3.5G and even GPS navigation.

Other than the 8GB internal storage, it has a miniSD slot supporting the SDHC standard.

You can get the Ameo PDA Phone from T-Mobile Germany for 500 Euro with 24-month contract. The price for other countries is not yet set and it is expected that HTC will release a 7-inch version of the UMPC-like PDA phone.

Though the Ameo looks like a UMPC, it actually runs the Windows Mobile OS.

Here is the US700 UMPC with yet unknown brand. It looks cool. The US700 is powered by an Intel Celeron M 1.06G MHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 20-60GB of hard drive. It has a 7-inch WVGA LCD screen, WiFi 802.11b/g, a 1.3 Megapixel webcam, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and a SDD/MMC slot. It runs the Windows Vista OS.

The US700 measures 198 (L) x 114 (W) x 20.5 (H) mm for 560g.

UltraMobileGeek shows us a video preview on the Raon Digital Vega UMPC. The Vega is powered by an AMD Geode LX800, 256MB DDR400 RAM, an 1.8-inch 30GB hard drive from Toshiba and RealTek ALC203 sound chip. It has a 4.3 WVGA LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 800×480. It runs the Windows XP Home Edition.

The Raon Digital Vega can run for 5.5 hours with the Li-ion 3300mAH standard battery.

Innowell, from Korea, shows us the UREN UMPC which is also a GPS device, it is called by the company as MobileAuto PC. The Innowell UREN has a 30GB Hard Disk Drive, 256 of internal memory, a 7-inch WVGA TFT LCD touchscreen.

It is Windows XP Embedded and it supports also DMB digital TV, music and video playback.

Sony announced its Vaio UX UMPC wihout harddisk drive but 32GB Flash Drive, the VGN-UX91NS and UX91S. They are powered by an Intel Core Solo U1500 1.33GHz or Core Solo U1400 1.2GHz or Celeron M 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 32GB Flash Drive. The new Vaio UX series runs Windows Vista and comes with Microsoft Office 2007 and it has a 4.5-inch LCD touch-screen and a webcam. There are BlueBlack and Blue version available.

There is also a silver version which has similar config but it comes with ordinary Hard Disk Drive in 30GB or 40GB capacity instead of Flash Drive.

The S-XGen UMPC is powered Intel PXA 270 Xscale 520 MHz processor, 256MB of RAM and a 20GB hard drive, a 4-inch 470 x 280 TFT LCD display, a built-in 2.8 Megapixel camera, and a QWERTY keyboard. It runs Windows CE 5.0 OS.

Bill Gates shows OQO model 02 UMPC at the CES. The OQO model 02 UMPC has a VIA C7M ULV 1.2 GHz or 1.5GHz processor, 512MB or 1GB DDR2 RAM, a 30GB or 60GB hard drive. The OQO 02 comes with a 5-icch VGA LCD touchscreen, a new ergonomic backlit keyboard, EV-DO, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and A2DP support. Model 02 runs Windows Vista.

It has also HDMI output for connectivity to HDTV, VGA output, “DisplaySense for detection and recall of external display settings”.

OQO 02 measures 5.6″ x 3.3″ x 1.0″ for 1.0 lb and it will come with a docking station. The OQO 02 is now available with a price starting at $1,500.

Here is a hand-on preview video on the Medion UMPC. The Medion UMPC features a 6.5-inch touchscreen, built-in DVB-T TV tuner, integrated GPS, WiFi 802.11b/g, bluetooth and a webcam. It has also a sliding QWERTY keyboard. It is expected to be available in 30 Jan.

This is the Arima UMPC UM650 at the CES 2007. The Arima UM650 UMPC is powered by an 1GHz ULV VIA C7-M 770 CPU, 512MB of RAM (Max 768MB), and a 30GB hard disk. It has also a 6.5-inch LCD touchscreen with a 800×480 resolution, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 0.3 Megapixel camera, Wi-Fi b/g, Bluetooth, an optional TV module, GPS and TPM. It can even work with Windows Vista.

It will come with a docking station.
