Verizon Wireless made its long-rumored LG Versa smartphone official. One of the main features of the Versa is it’s detachable QWERTY keyboard that is integrated into a case for the Versa.

The LG Versa features a 3-inch 480×240 touchscreen display, a 2 Megapixel auto focus camera with flash, Bluetooth, and a microSD card slot. The case itself includes an OLED display for displaying time and caller ID.

Over at HowardForums, member Snap315′s has posted some nice shots of Verizon’s upcoming LG VX9600 Versa smartphone with QWERTY keyboard. The VX9600 Versa comes in clamshell style offering a large color touchscreen, and a small external screen.

TrustedReviews has reviewed the NEC Versa S970 notebook PC. NEC Versa S970 is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, a 120GB hard drive and integrated Intel GMA X3100 graphic card.

Other features include a DVD Multi burner, a 14.1-inch LCD display, Bluetooth 2.0, InfraRed and a 4-in-1 Memory card reader.

PC Mark results were equitable throughout, despite the fact that our sample had only 1GB of RAM. In our in-house tests results were more mixed. In Photoshop Elements the S970 was quicker by 20 seconds or so, but this result was reversed in the Virtual Dub test where it was around the same amount of time slower. In any case you’d be hard pressed to tell a difference in real world usage.

A solid performer it may be, but the NEC Versa S970 is notably behind the times and there are plenty of better options out there for the business user.
