Vertu introduces its Signature Kissho (吉祥) series mobile phones in Japan. There are four models, Daigo, Kinkou, Kikusui and Nanten, one for each season. Each of them has a hand-crafted back cover with flower patterns matching that particular season.

Vertu introduces the V Collection, which includes a Bluetooth headset, a ballpoint pen and a memory card reader.

Vertu, part of Nokia, presents a new addition to the Constellation line, which is known as the Ayxta. The Ayxta is designed for “The Global Citizen” and is the company’s first flip-style/clamshell mobile phone.

Vertu introduces the new Constellation Pure Collection that comes in pure white and black. The Constellation Pure White features “polished steel and a white ceramic keypad and pillow with white leather designed to be resistant to staining”, while the Pure Black has “PVD treated steel and a black ceramic keypad and pillow with black leather.”

Vertu shows at the Wynn Hotel, Las Vegas its another luxury phone, the Vertu Signature Dragon. The Dragon version is basically a Vertu Signature with a dragon. It looks ugly, right?

Here is another clone from China named Vertu Mini cloning the Vertu Ascent Ferrari luxury phone. The Vertu has a color display, a 0.3 Megapixel camera (though claimed to be 1.3 Megapixel), Dual SIM card slot and integrated music players.

Vertu has created the solid gold Boucheron 150 luxury phone for French jewelry house Boucheron Paris. The Vertu Boucheron 150 is made from solid gold and takes 1,000 hours to cut into shape, 700 hours to hand polish, and more than 500 hours to build, according to the designer.

Vertu, Nokia’s luxury brand, adds the new Constellation Diamonds series to its Constellation lineup. The Vertu Constellation Diamonds comes with over 170 diamonds along the edge.
