Lenovo quitely launches its new IdeaPad U550 notebook PC. Boosted by Intel CULV, the U550 is running the latest Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS. Certain models will also get WiMAX support.

Panasonic announced in Japan the new Let’s Note CF-S8 and CF-N8 ultra portable notebook PCs, both running the newest Windows 7 Professional OS. In fact, the S8 and N8 are almost identical, except the S8 comes with an integrated DVD SuperMulti burner.

Toshiba just announced in Japan that it will release in Japan in August a WiMAX-enabled netbook, known as the dynabook UX/27JBLMA.
