Xi3 ChromiumPC Modular Computer runs Google Chrome OS 1

Modular PC maker Xi3 announced its ChromiumPC modular computer, which is the world’s first desktop computer running Google Chrome OS. The ChromiumPC is actually a version of the company’s Xi3 Modular Computer. It is housed in an aluminum chassis that holds three small but interconnected boards (or modules – The Processor Module, The Primary I/O Module and the Seconadry I/O Module.

Xi3 Modular Computer

A company called Xi3 Corporation introduces the Xi3 Modular Computer, a cube-shaped computer measuring less than 4-inch per side. Not only it is small, the modular computer is also power-saving requiring an average of 20 Watts or less to operate. The utilizes Xi3 computer architecture which divides the classic motherboard into three separate boards – One board that houses the processors and RAM, and Two additional I/O boards to handle all connectivity and input/output requirements.
