Sony Ericsson (going to drop Ericsson) announced at the CES 2012 the new Xperia S, which according to the company is the “first smartphone from the new Xperia NXT series – next generation smartphones from Sony”. As the next flagship of the Xperia lineup, the new phone is powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz MSM8260 processor with 1GB of RAM. The new Xperia’s transparent element at the base creates an iconic silhouette where the display is emphasized and underlined. In addition, it provides illumination effects and integrates the antenna components.

Sony Ericsson introduces the new Xperia neo V, which is as beautiful as its predecessor Xperia neo and delivers enhanced multimedia capability. The new neo V features unique Facebook inside Xperia functionality for enhanced like, share and discover abilities and 3D sweep panorama technology, which enables image capture and viewing in 3D by connecting the phone to a 3D TV using the HDMI output.

Sony Ericsson announced its Xperia arc S, an enhanced version of the Xperia arc. According to the company, the new arc S eatures 25% faster camera start up and media conversion , along with 20% faster web page rendering compared to Xperia arc, thanks to the new powerful Snapdragon MSM8255 1.4GHz processor. Some details of Sony Ericsson’s upcoming Xperia SO-02D Android phone for NTT DoCoMo have been leaked. Codenamed NOZOMI, the SO-02D is an Android 2.3 smartphone coming in November this year. It is suggested that the device will have a 4.3-inch 1280x720p touchscreen.

Sony Ericsson’s upcoming Xperia ray is a new Android smartphone to be released in Q3 2011. The phone measures 9.4mm thin and has a stylish aluminum frame. The sleek smartphone is equipped with a 8.1 Megapixel camera with Exmor R for mobile image sensor. The camera supports face detection, auto focus and 720p HD video recording.
