Velocity Micro brings us its new line of NoteMagix Ultrabook computers that “expertly combine an ultra-thin chassis and powerful components with the craftsmanship that have made the company famous.” Built from solid aluminum with tapered edging and smooth, sleek lines, the NoteMagix Ultrabooks are ultra slim at 21mm thick and lightweight at just 4 pounds (1.8KG).
Velocity Micro’s 14-inch NoteMagix comes in three models, the U430, U450 and U470. All of them have a 14-inch 1366×768 WXGA display and are based on Intel’s HM77 Panther Point chipset. The U430 packs Intel’s Core i3-317U processor, 500GB 5400RPM hard drive and 24GB SSD. The U450 is a mid-range model sporting a Core i5-3317U CPU and 120GB Intel 520-series SSD, while the top U470 model boasts Core i7-3517U and doubles SSD capacity to 240GB.
All these Ultrabooks use integrated Intel HD4000 graphics card and come equipped with 4GB of RAM and a DVD+/-RW tray-loading multi burner. They support Bluetooth, and WiFi 802.11b/g/n and provides USB 3.0 ports and HDMI video output. There is also a 1.3 Megapixel webcam and its battery offers 6 hours of use.
The NoteMagix U430, U450 and U470 Ultrabooks are now available for $799.99, $899.99 and $1099.99, respectively.
